Bipolar disorder is categorized as a mood disorder marked by mood swings from extreme highs to extreme lows. The most common forms of Bipolar Disorder are Bipolar I, Bipolar II, and Cyclothymic Disorder. The primary difference between these types of Bipolar Disorder is the intensity of episodes of depression or mania.
