Admission Process for Telemedicine Treatment Programs
What Should I Expect?
New Dimensions offers a comprehensive assessment process that allows us to gain a thorough understanding of your needs. During this process, we work with you to determine the best treatment options to meet your goals for treatment.
Prior to admission, all individuals are assessed by one of our licensed clinicians via a telehealth session. During this assessment, individuals are able to explain in detail the problems that they are experiencing. This allows us to gain an understanding of each person’s struggles and then develop the most effective treatment strategy possible to address those struggles. During this process, we will explore all of the areas that frequently affect mental health, including emotional stressors, physical health problems, family issues, genetics and heredity, lifestyle, nutrition, spirituality, addictive history, family history, and other life stressors.
During this complementary assessment, individuals and families are also able to learn more about the program and the treatment process. We understand that for many individuals, the decision to enter into an intensive treatment program can be stressful and anxiety provoking. As a result, we encourage you to ask questions about our programs and the alternatives that may be available. We believe that the more you learn about us and our approach to treatment, the more confident you will be about your decision to seek treatment at New Dimensions.
Once your questions have been answered and a plan of treatment has been developed, you will then meet with one of our psychiatrists via a telehealth session. The psychiatrist will evaluate your current condition and appropriateness for the New Dimensions programs. During this time, you will be able to discuss any concerns you might have about medications, including whether or not medications might be helpful to you. Lastly, once the psychiatrist has approved the treatment plan, you will then complete the admission process through our patient portal and then begin the program.
(Note: Clients admitted to the Substance Abuse Program for Adults may be admitted directly to the program without consulting with a psychiatrist if deemed appropriate by clinical staff.)
Our administrative staff will verify your insurance information prior to your assessment. Once we have verified your insurance benefits, the administrative staff will discuss the insurance benefits with you, including any expected copays or deductibles that you may have.
